Peridot Webster

Peridot is the owner of Peri’s Plus Ltd, a bra boutique that was started out of her own need of not getting proper fitting bras a fuller busted woman, in 2007. Starting only with her $1500 savings at the time, she began the journey of providing home and office visits to give women like herself the opportunity to be properly fitted and measured. Her persistence and desire to provide a quality service, led to her being nominated and becoming the subsequent winner of the Young Woman of the Year Award in 2012. This was facilitated by the Network of NGO’s for the Advancement of Women, along with the Ministry of Gender and Youth Affairs. Since then she has established her boutique in Couva and was the brainchild of the Caribbean’s first Bra Festival Bra Festival B.R.A.V.O. in 2017, which saw over six hundred women in attendance.

In 2020, she launched the Virtual Bra Room (VBR) as a direct response to her brick-and-mortar space being closed during the pandemic. The VBR was essentially various videos, recorded by Peridot educating her audience on the do’s and don’ts of breast care health, as well as different types of bras and myths surrounding them. Not only did this saw an increase in new and existing customer engagement, it also saw in increase in sales by 12%. She also hosted the first virtual fashion show locally in 2020, to highlight her locally manufactured sleepwear and lingerie line.
In 2021 she won the local leg of the Entrepreneurship World Cup and placed 3rd representing Trinidad and Tobago in the Entrepreneurship World Cup Caribbean. This led to her being placed in an accelerator programme which gave her the opportunity to network with other international entrepreneurs and a new business mentor from Namibia.

Now in 2022, she has been approached to be the National Host for the Entrepreneurship World Cup (Trinidad and Tobago).
Peridot holds a degree in Media and Communications with further qualifications in Event Management and Proposal Writing. She formed SPEAK Enterprises formed in 2013 out of her love of Radio and Television Broadcasting. She is currently the voice of TSTT’s IVR also provides Master of ceremony services and script writing.
